So you're engaged and starting to think about the wedding planning, it's super exciting but you are frozen with where to begin. It's overwhelming isn't it? Lets keep things in perspective, your wedding is going to be amazing but remember its a celebration of what will be a lifetime together so remind yourself as you get swept up in options options options of the littlest detail that your wedding is about you and your hubby committing in the highest possible way.
Communication between you are your guy are key. I repeat KEY! So start chatting early about how you both see the wedding, who will be looking after what elements, what involvement will your families have, what budget are you looking to spend etc. If you are on a shared page from the beginning its going to make everything else easy. Trust me on this!
There is an old saying a failure to plan is a plan to fail. So one of the easiest ways to keep on track is to create a timing plan so you know what elements you need to tackle when. So you have your vision and a timing plan set. Now it's time to get the big things done. I'm talking the venue, dress, photographer. Why you may ask? Well these will easily set the tone for all other elements of your day. For example, you don't want to have quaint DIY decorations if you have booked the Taj Mahal of venues now do you?
Now its time to start collecting all that creative inspiration. Thanks a lot for the tips. I especially agree with your tip about locking away the big items first. One item on the agenda that I would get started on right away is determining who you're going to invite. Weddings can obviously be expensive and you may not realize that you'll end up sending out more wedding invitations than planned!
